Water testing

Hamtramck Public  Schools had  the water in all our buildings and properties tested for lead and copper on September 18, 2018. All our buildings and properties tested safe with one exception.  The exception being the maintenance garage. There is not a drinking fountain in the maintenance garage only a sink and toilet. Even though no one drinks water from the maintenance garage, the school district will follow the recommendation of the testing company(DiHydro) and install a filtering system for the maintenance garage.  The maintenance department office which is detached from the garage tested safe.

Hamtramck High, Horizon High, Kosciuszko  School, Dickinson West School, Dickinson East School, Early Childhood Elementary School, Holbrook School, Tau Beta School, Hamtramck High School Community Center, Administration  Building, Maintenance Department Office, Pulaski Park and Keyworth Stadium all tested safe. Playfair Park is also safe as the water to Playfair  comes from  Keyworth Stadium. Attached are the results which are Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) lab certified.  Click here for attachment.
