Custodial Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the parents, students and staff that work for and attend the Hamtramck Public Schools, a clean, healthy and safe learning environment.

The Hamtramck Building and Grounds’ Department is made up of (1) Director, (1) Secretary, (1) Plumber, (1) Electrician, (1) HVAC person, (3) Grounds workers, (1) Recreation worker and (24) Custodians. As a department, we are proud of our accomplishments over the past years. While averaging over a hundred written and verbal work orders per month, our department has addressed a number of mandatory safety items that include required safety testing of boilers and fire suppression systems, maintaining material safety data sheets at all facilities, indoor air and water sampling … and the list goes on and on. Our concern as a department continues to be promoting a safe and secure learning environment.
